Traditionally designed wooden shop frontages

Fairholm Joinery specialise in the design, build and fitting of traditionally styled shop frontages.

All wood shopfronts are built from the very best seasoned hardwood to ensure a long and productive life cycle and finished by varnishing or painted to the specifications agreed.

Planning and conservation

This type of shop frontage is ideally suited where planning or conservation restictions are an issue or the location requires a sympathetic approach to existing location or building type.

It is not the answer in all locations or for all shop renovations.

Traditional image and branding

This traditional image is dependent to a great extent on the theme and branding you wish to project to potential customers and the market you operate in.

Many existing and new bars and restaurants consider a natural wood finish as it projects a warm, inviting and traditional image. Whilst the cost of a traditionally constructed wooden shopfront may be higher in comparison to glass, metal and other modern materials and often offer a lower cost of installation, a tradionally built wooden shopfront offers a timeless and distinctive option.

Pride & quality of service

At Fairholm Joinery we pride ourselves in providing the highest standards of design, construction from the initial site survey right through to final decoration.

All timber products used are manufactured to the highest standards using a wide range and variety of seasoned and kiln dried hardwoods including oak, mahogany, ash, teak, beech and pine.

Compliance with Building Regulations and current legislation

Regardless of how attractive your shop front appears it is equally important that potential customers can easily access to your premises. Easy access is a benefit for everyone.

Every care is taken to ensure that

  • disabled and
  • elderly people
  • mothers or fathers with pushchairs and young children
  • customers with packed shopping bags
  • those with limited physical mobility
  • customers with visual and other sensory impairments

can all easily gain access and the finished work complies with both current Building Regulations and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
